Administration Policy

The Art Verve Academy organizational policy is a set of guidelines and best practices put in place to protect the school, instructors, and students or learners.

We take great care to provide learners with information on our policies and we strive to be accurate at all times. However, in the event that there is a discrepancy between written and/or oral communications and this website, the text on this website supersedes any oral communication.

We encourage you to regularly review the website and take ownership of your artistic journey by familiarizing yourself with our relevant policies.

Administration

The Art Verv Academy strives to maintain a professional environment for all.

Class or Workshop Cancellations

We do not cancel weekly classes due to low registration or enrollments. If registrations are low, we administer private lessons at the same location, during the same time and reserve the right to change class topics based on the individual's needs.

Please also be aware that workshops with insufficient enrollments on the deadline may be cancelled, it is important to register before that time if possible.

Emergency or Unexpected Events

If an emergency or unexpected event occurs that is out of our control, we reserve the right to change the course time, location or substitute an instructor. We will make every effort to notify students as soon as possible if there are any changes or deviations from the advertised class time and location.

Instructor Illness

If a class or workshop is cancelled due to the illness of an instructor or any other unexpected reason, your tuition will be refunded in full. You will be notified via the email address or phone number you provided on your registration form.

Misconduct

Please be courteous or respectful. The Art Verve Academy reserves the right to dismiss any student for any behavior that is disruptive to the creative process or learning environment (without a refund).

No Smoking or Vaping

Please be courteous or respectful. According to Arizona State Law, no smoking or vaping is allowed in public buildings or within 20 feet of any building entrance.


Privacy Policy

Per our privacy policy, we do not share your personal information with anyone under any circumstances unless we have written permission from you in advance. This includes other learners that you may connect with in class.

Accountability

When you use our services, you’re trusting us with your information. We understand that this is a big responsibility and we will work hard to protect your personal information. Any information provided is completely confidential and shared only with the Art Verve Academy Administration and your instructor.

Use Personal Information

We use personal information for administration purposes or to provide services. We ask that you complete a one time student information form either online or in person on the first day of class.

Upon submission of the online form, your information will be encrypted within our database in order to protect your privacy & personal data. You may complete the student information form in person on the first day of class. Once your information has been included in our database. The paper form will be shredded.

Definition of Personal Information

Personal information is anything that can be used to identify an individual, such as name, address, date of birth, marital status, contact information, emergency contact information, financial records, credit information, medical history, resumes, travel information, or intentions to acquire goods and services.

Protection

We ensure that your personal information is protected at all times by any staff or instructors. We believe in transparency and are committed to being upfront on our practices, regarding personal information and privacy. Any personal information collected from you is added to our database, which has military grade AES-256 encryption.


Safety

The Art Verv Academy strives to maintain a safe environment for all.

Environment, Health and Safety (EHS)

The Art Verv Academy follows Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) laws and regulations.

No Chemicals in the Sink

Do not pour chemicals down the sink at any location, no exceptions. Any brush cleaning must be done in an approved location or in a janitorial sink.

OIl Painters & Solvents

For oil painting classes, please refer to the approved list of materials as we do not allow several toxic solvents unless previously arranged. Oily rags, papers, and paints must be disposed of in a lidded, approved container.

Injury

Please be careful. The Art Verve Academy is not responsible for injuries sustained as a result of improper or careless use of tools or equipment.

Service Animals

Proper steps have been taken to bring service animals into some locations and are adjusted as needed to support our learners. Please check the page for each location to read the policies for that particular location. If you have any concerns, email us.

Service Animals are...

Individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of a person with a disability. A Service animal provides safety, confidence, independence, and companionship to their owner. You may find additional information about the use of service animals at https://www.ada.gov/service_animals_2010.htm.

Service Dog Is Not...

An ordinary dog or pet, there are rules of etiquette for interacting with service dogs.

Service Dog Etiquette

It is not appropriate to ask about a person’s disability, or that the dog demonstrate its ability to perform the work. Rules of etiquette are as follows:

  • Please speak to the handler first.
  • Do not make distracting or rude noises at the dog.
  • Do not touch the service dog without asking for and receiving permission.
  • Do not offer food to the service dog. Resist the temptation to offer treats to the service dog.
  • Announce yourself prior to entering into the handler’s cubicle or office.
  • Do not be offended if the handler does not want to chat about the service dog.
  • Questions of a personal nature should be avoided.

What if...

The service dog barks, growls, or otherwise forgets its manners? Find out what happened before taking action. Was the service dog stepped on, poked, asleep and dreaming, performing its job (some alert their handlers to oncoming seizures by barking once or twice)?

If the dog’s behavior is disruptive or destructive, please report it to your instructor.
